Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Covid-19 is a virus from the coronavirus family, which are a group of viruses that vary in severity from the common cold to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The KPHO is tracking the spread of the covid-19 epidemic within Kent and neighboring areas. We are monitoring coronavirus cases and deaths that occur in Kent on a daily basis.

Data and reports

The latest daily statistics for Kent relating to the Covid-19 pandemic can be found here relating to positive covid-19 tests from hospital (pillar 1) and third party (pillar 2) testing sites for Kent and Medway residents.

We also produced an excel version of the dashboard on a weekly basis. Please note some graphs may not display correctly on older versions of excel.

Covid-19 Literature Reviews

Below is a list of literature review which have been conducted to gather evidence relevant to the Covid-19 pandemic:

Literature review on the effect of the pandemic on the voluntary sector – This review outlines the impact and demand on the voluntary sector as a result of the Covid-19  pandemic. The reduction in charity sector provision increases the pressure on primary care and the acute sector. The review outlines the response to these pressures including the use of new models of integrated working within healthcare. The evidence of the effect of the pandemic on the charity sector in Kent and Medway is also reviewed.
