Environment, transport & housing

Environment, transport, and housing are major determinants of health.  Environmental aspects affecting health include air quality, energy, fluoridation, noise pollution, and radiation. Those in very poor housing are more likely to suffer from poor mental and physical health than those whose housing is of higher quality.  Transport and health are linked in many ways: air pollution, accidents and injuries, health and lifestyle with regard to physical activity, noise, access to services, and health inequalities with regard to car use.
