Carers

Unpaid carers experience various health inequalities compared with the general population, particularly emotional and mental health problems.  Most of us will become a carer at some point in our lives.  In 2021, 135,893 people in Kent were providing unpaid care (9.1%).

The views and experiences of local residents regarding Carers is captured in reports available from the Healthwatch Kent website.

A number of organisations produce statistics relating to carers, both at national and local levels.
