Brain injuries

Traumatic brain injuries represent a significant public health problem in the UK and in Kent and Medway. Nationally there were 356,699 UK admissions to hospital with acquired brain injury in 2019-20. This includes head injury, stroke, meningitis, tumours and other disorders. In Kent in 2019-20 there were 500 acquired brain injuries per 100,000 people.
