Pharmaceutical needs assessment

Since the 1st of April 2013, every Health and Wellbeing Board has had a statutory responsibility to publish and keep up to date a statement of the needs of pharmaceutical services (community pharmacies, dispensing doctors, and compliance contractors) for the population in its area. This is referred to as the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).

The current PNA was published on the 1st of October 2022 and can be accessed using the links below. Links to previous versions of the PNA published in 2015 and 2018 can be found at the bottom of this page.

As part of this responsibility, we have also published an interactive map detailing the current locations of pharmacies in Kent. This can be accessed through the following link and was last updated in September 2023:  Interactive maps showing the locations of Kent pharmacies.
